Having four decades of experience in the security and VIP travel business, Simon remains one of the few people in Asia with such a broad range of depth and experience. Having lived and worked in Asia since 1989, Simon has 20 years of service in the British Army as a Senior Bomb Disposal Officer with Commando Forces and was honoured with the British Empire Medal for Meritorious Service. As Founder of The ASA Group he has expanded the company into multinational operations.

Chris Bonython

Chris joined The ASA Group in 2019 after a 23-year career in the South Australia Police where he gained a large amount of experience investigating a wide range of serious crimes. This often involved managing large and complex tasks. Chris is the holder of the Australian National Medal and the South Australian Police Service Medal for long and diligent service. Chris personally oversees and coordinates all of The ASA Groups security operations.

John Bloomfield BSc

Security Business Development Manager

“Having good security and being safe is more of a tested process that a commercial product.”

John has had a varied and interesting career in the security business. Coming from a military background (Coldstream Guards and 22 SAS) he used that experience to travel and to gain more extensive knowledge of corporate security. He has worked in South America, the Caribbean, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, the USA and Europe. In the last few years he was head of security and estate manager for a well-known “at risk” Middle Eastern family. This role involved extensive travel with many challenging responsibilities and tasks. His skills, knowledge, and experience, add great depth to ASA Group’s service offering.
