With 5 decades of experience in the military, security, and VIP & luxury travel business, Simon remains one of the few people in Asia with such a broad range and depth of experience. Having lived and worked in Hong Kong, The Philippines, and Thailand, since 1989, Simon retired after almost 20 years of varied and operational service in the British Army, culminating as a Senior Rank Bomb Disposal Officer with Commando Forces, and was honoured with the British Empire Medal for Meritorious Service. As Founder, CEO, and Chairman of The ASA Group, he has managed and grown the company into a multi-national corporation with global operations.

Ted became part of The ASA Group in 2012 and operates from Kuala Lumpur, but his history in security began long before that. Ted’s career in commercial security started in 1973 after 8 years of military service in UK, Germany, and Hong Kong. In 1977 he co-founded and built what became a multi-national, multi-service, and multi-million-dollar grossing security company, followed by being appointed Regional President Asia Pacific by G4S from 2002-2010. With this background and enormous experience, Ted knows what it takes to keep your legacy safe.

Julie has worked in the aviation industry since 1998. The positions and responsibilities have varied; from commercial and then corporate flight attendant, aircraft sales support, Customer Service Manager at an FBO, to the West Coast Rep for a major international trip planning company. In 2010 Julie joined The ASA Group, based in Bangkok, Thailand. Julie has since become a shareholder and is currently the joint Group Managing Director/Aviation Director, overseeing all business and aircraft operations throughout our businesses across Asia and Oceania. Julie is a member of the USA National Business Aviation Association International Operators Committee (NBAA-IOC) and regularly speaks or presents at NBAA events.

A UK-qualified barrister and chartered accountant, now assisting entrepreneurs, SMEs and listed companies with corporate set-up and administrative support in numerous jurisdictions with special emphasis on Hong Kong and China. John has worked in several countries in Asia, including China, also in Europe and Africa; John has worked for multinational corporations including Deloitte, BP and CBS. John’s company began providing services to ASA in 2004; he became an individual shareholder and joined the board of directors in 2007.

Jim joined ASA Global in 2023 with almost 40 years’ experience in the security and intelligence fields. A seasoned security and intelligence professional, bringing valuable experience from 15 years as a Royal Marines Commando and 10 years as a police officer culminating as a detective for the Regional Intelligence Unit. Following the public sector Jim successfully transitioned into the private sector with establishing his own company in security and investigations then joining Securitas as Head of Operations. After a stint in the UK supporting a security and intelligence start-up he returned home to Asia. Jim’s proactive approach and collaborative leadership along with an extensive global network of security professionals ensures stakeholder safety and success in the ever-evolving security landscape.

Chris joined The ASA Group in 2019 after a 23-year career in the South Australia Police where he gained a large amount of experience investigating a wide range of serious crimes. This often involved managing large and complex tasks. Chris is the holder of the Australian National Medal and the South Australian Police Service Medal for long and diligent service. Chris personally oversees and coordinates all of The ASA Groups security operations.
John Bloomsfield

John has had a varied and interesting career in the security business. Coming from a military background (Coldstream Guards and 22 SAS) he used that experience to travel and to gain more extensive knowledge of corporate security. He has worked in South America, the Caribbean, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, the USA and Europe. In the last few years, he was head of security and estate manager for a well-known “at risk” Middle Eastern family. This role involved extensive travel with many challenging responsibilities and tasks. His skills, knowledge, and experience, add great depth to ASA Group’s service offering. John is currently embedded with a HNW family in Europe, is a dual UK and French Citizen, he speaks fluent French, and conversational Italian.

Andreas joined the ASA Group in 2024 with over 20 years of security experience managing operations, projects and programs all over the world. Andreas started his security career in Sweden but since then has lived and worked in United Arab Emirates (UAE) being responsible for Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and the last 5 years in Thailand managing Asia Pacific (APAC).

Andreas has travelled to over 50 countries and has built a strong network of Security Professionals across the globe through successful operations and client relations.

 Andreas is the winner of the first South East Asia’s Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) 2023 at the Asia Security Exchange/ ASIS International event in Bangkok, Thailand, and holds the certifications of CBCI (Certified Business Continuity Manager), CRMP (Certified ISO 31000 Risk Management Professional), CATS (Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist).

Graham spent ten years in the British Royal Marines operating around the world. During that time he specialized in Arctic Warfare and protection of British North Sea oil & gas installations. He has also represented Great Britain in sports parachuting, winning team silver and bronze medals at World championships as well as breaking two world records. Since then he has worked across the globe, including 20 years in SE Asia, and has vast experience in providing security services for HNW individuals, Oil & Gas companies, Banks, Commercial Shipping and private superyachts, Diplomats and several Royal Families. His extensive travel and experience give him a thorough understanding of the needs that ASA clients are likely to require be it by land, sea or air.

Jolene is a seasoned corporate executive, operating in both commercial and non-profit-making organizations/NGOs for many years. After working for over 20 years with Multi-National Corporations such as NCR and G4S as Regional General Manager, she joined the NGO sector as her new chapter. Jolene’s combined, broad experiences covering banking and finance and the IT sector while in the NGO sectors of education, youth development, medical services, elderly services, animal welfare, gender equality matters as well as world peace, all gave her a refreshed perspective on life and our modern world.

Scott has spent more than two decades managing corporate, retail and supply chain security for famous brands in the luxury goods industry. He has particular expertise in establishing regional security and safety programs, conducting internal and external investigations and managing incident response and business continuity. Prior to this Scott worked for the Home Office and served in the Royal Navy as a weapons engineer and intelligence photographer. He has lived in Asia for the last 18 years and and has extensive regional knowledge. He is now based in Singapore.

Summer started with ASA in 2018. Having obtained a diploma in Aviation Management & Services along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with Singapore Management University, she has a variety of skills in a multitude of fields; from Aviation Operations to Entrepreneurship as well as Software Engineering. Apart from overseeing the operations in business aviation, she also has had experience in the operations of international commercial airlines. Summer has built a strong network within Singapore’s aviation landscape and has proven to strive for excellence in all endeavours.Summer is also the Group Charter Manager, managing all charters globally, from request, to aircraft selection, to contracts and booking, and finally through supervision and management of the delivery of superior services – from door-to-door!
